Upon returning home from a deployment with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, Josh finished his undergraduate work at Oklahoma State University in 2007. The following year he joined Merrill Lynch in the summer of 2008. This was just before the financial crash. He was the only Merrill Lynch trainee during that period who was still there nearly four years later.
He was recruited to Morgan Stanley in 2012 where he focused on Portfolio Management. He felt this was the best way to serve clients. Feeling the need for change Josh pursued his Masters in Quantitative Finance at Oklahoma State University in 2019.
After learning computational finance and how to write computer code for financial modeling, this allowed him the tools to pursue his dream (then a concept) which is now Future U Financial. Future U is a fast growing firm with an emphasis on technology.
Josh has two adopted children, a wonderful wife who works as a professional, and is a member of The Church at Battle Creek . He doesn’t remember what free time is or he would tell you his hobbies!
